Start your wardrobe

In Wardrobe, choose Add and enter a name and clothing category. Take a photo or choose one from your library, or add a photo later. You can create several named closets and customize their categories. No account is required for the local edition.

Import existing records

Open Wardrobe → Add → Import files or orders to choose a CSV, Excel, JSON, Word table or supported ZIP with local photos. Select the correct worksheet or table, match fields and review categories before confirming the items to save. PDF receipts and order screenshots are read on your device; select product-name lines yourself. Generic file import is separate from restoring a complete Chara backup. Compatibility depends on the source file; proprietary backups from other wardrobe apps are not universally supported.

Back up and move phones

Open Me → Backup & Restore to export a complete ZIP backup, including the photos available on your device. Save it with Files and check that the file exists before changing phones or uninstalling. On the new device, select the backup and review the restore preview before confirming. A text-only CSV is not a substitute for a complete photo backup. Chara 1.0 does not automatically sync your wardrobe to the cloud.

Plan a look or record a wear

Future calendar entries are plans. Record an outfit you actually wore on today or a past date. Only completed wear records affect wear counts. You can review and undo a record from its calendar entry.

Refine a cutout

Automatic background removal runs on supported Apple devices. Lace, hair and complex backgrounds may need manual refinement. Keep the original photo so you can process it again. Chara does not automatically upload your photos to a remote image-processing service.

Save and share an outfit

Create a collage from your clothes or save an outfit photo. Save the look before exporting its image. The phone's share menu lets you choose an available app or file destination. Closing the share sheet does not prove a file was saved: check the destination you chose. Posting on Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest or X is completed in that app.

Online item sources

A supported Lolibrary item link can help fill in item details. Review the preview before adding. This feature needs Internet access and some pages may not supply every field. Personal entry remains available if a source cannot be read. Chara is independent of Lolibrary.

Include the app version, iOS version, steps to reproduce the problem and a redacted screenshot if useful. Do not send passwords, verification codes or a complete wardrobe backup unless specifically needed and agreed. The app does not automatically attach diagnostics or send email.
